Valencian Nights | Outfit

Hey! I'm currently editing all of the photos from my Valencia trip and thought that I'd give you a preview with these outfit of the night pictures that we shot while we were out there.

I recently had the pleasure of picking out a beautiful dress* from House of Fraser, ready for the party season and this is how I styled it for a night out in Valencia.

Budget Beauty Haul | YouTube

Heyyyy! I'm back from Valencia with LOTS to post about but first, a haul video! These are some super duper pretty, beauty bits I picked up on the cheap recently that I want to share with you. I know that, with Christmas around the corner, lots of us are watching the pursestrings but that doesn't mean that we can't treat ourselves to a pretty thang. Or ten...

You Da Bomb OOTD | Outfit

Hi! Here are some outfit pictures George and I shot before we, literally, ran out of the door on Saturday night. We were both going to house parties and, as usual, I'd tried to fit too much stuff in the day and had -5 mins for outfit pictures. Anyway, here you go! The weather was cack at the weekend, as my fellow Britons will know, so we had to shoot indoors but I think the white wall with a black outfit is okay anyway. Not ideal, but we do our best! The weather in Valencia is set to be beautiful (I leave on Weds!) so hopefully I can make up for it with lots of pretty, sunny, outdoor outfit pictures next week. But in the meantime...

I am obsessed with this lace bra which I nabbed from H&M in their summer sale! It is soooo comfy, literally I accidentally fall asleep wearing it all the time and I think the 'underwear as outwear' look is so much fun for a night out. It's not for everyone I know, but for me the key is to pair it with something high-waisted (not that you can tell here but the skirt is actually a high-waisted pencil skirt) and then I also like to keep my jacket/shirt or whatever top layer on all night so the bra is only ever peeking out. It certainly helps if you have smaller boobs like me as the lack of cleavage makes it look less risqué too IMO.

I stole George's bomber jacket again. It's too big though so I'm seriously considering ordering myself one from somewhere. They're just a great way of injecting some edge into an outfit and they're lightweight too so double thumbs up.

It's such a shame we didn't get a good shot showing off the high waist of the pencil skirt under the bomber jacket but hopefully you can imagine it. OMG you have noooo idea how much trouble I went through trying to keep my nails long for this look! My left index nail must have tried to break at least 10 times last week. I feel like I used about a litre of nail glue throughout the week but I just really wanted to have long, pointed, khaki coloured nails with lots of rings for this outfit to add to the street vibe of the bomber jacket. The nail colour is from a brand called Essence sold at Superdrug and it only £1! The colour is much prettier in person, you'll be able to see it better in my next YouTube video

An Autumn Evening OOTD | Outfit

Hello! Today I'm bringing you an autumnal outfit post from Sunday just gone. I have to say that, despite my worst fears, this winter has been marvellously mild so far (**crosses fingers** - praying I haven't jinxed it!) so I've been making much more use of my lightweight coats like this old season Zara mac which I still love.

DIY Pretty Pink Cocktail | Recipe

Happy Fridayyyyyyyyyyy!!!! To celebrate I'm sharing this pretty cocktail recipe I made up. Particularly useful this weekend when it's wet and windy in London and not the most enticing night for pounding the pavement. Instead, stop at your Sainburys Local on the way home, invite the girls over and impress them all with your mixology skills while you natter from the cosiness of indoors.

My Pinterest Obsession

Hello! As the nights draw in and the weather gets chillier, I'm turning to my faithful old pal, Pinterest, to give me some style inspiration and general warm fuzzy feelings this season. I've just had a clean-up and a pinning spree (always fun!) so I thought I'd share my favourite boards with you. Feel free to pinch a pin or two! You can find my Pinterest profile here under 'missjadefraser' like all my social media.

Essena O'Neill and the Social Media Facade | Blogging

I wasn't even planning on writing a post today but I stumbled across something I think is so important that I feel compelled to write about it and spread the word. When I got home from work this evening my boyfriend asked me if I'd heard about 'this Australian Instagram model' who has re-captioned her Instagram posts to be truthful. No sooner had he finished his sentence than I pulled up an article about it (seriously, he even commented on my lightning fasts Google action) and started to read, incredibly intrigued.

Essena O'Neill is an 18-year-old Instagram model who says that she has recently become so sick of the facade surrounding the lives of models, bloggers and other celebrities on social media that she has re-captioned her photos to reflect what was really going on at the time the photo was taken, as well as deleting thousands of other photos which she's no longer proud of.

Last Night's Look | Halloween Makeup

Heyyyy, I hope you all had a great Halloween! I thought I'd check in and show you the makeup I did last night, a Mexican candy skull look with blue and green accents.

I'm sure, like me, you've all seen these all over Pinterest and they're just so pretty I thought I'd give it a go! Although they can look kinda scary, the candy skulls, or Calaveras, originate from the Mexican Dia de Muertos holiday during which people celebrate the lives of loved ones passed so it's actually really nice sentiment.
